Vancouver Fashion Week

Brand Identity concept for Vancouver Fashion Week’s Fall/Winter 2019 Showcase.

Group collaboration with Felicia Rodriguez

Animations for a brand identity concept for Vancouver Fashion Week's Fall/Winter 2019 showcase.

Process

This project was created during my third year of studies at Emily Carr, with fellow designer Felicia Rodrigues. The brief involved picking an event to design for, and creating a series of visual identity elements and print ephemera to accompany the event. We chose to design for Vancouver Fashion Week’s Fall/Winter 2019 showcase, branding the event with the theme of winter warmth and the decaying of roses. We chose a very blush tone palette, and created a logo that felt high fashion and sophisticated. We wanted to give Vancouver Fashion Week a new look to its current identity, and make it feel more luxurious for the designers that would be showcasing their runway garments. Our precedents included New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week to get a better sense of what these larger scale events prepare for their guests. Our final deliverables included design for posters, itinerary, backstage passes, tickets, rack cards, mock ups, merchandise, animations, instagram posts and more.
