True North Projects

Website Design

True North Projects Ltd. is a multi-family home builder based out of the greater Fraser Valley, British Columbia. With over 15 years of experience, they work with developers and engineers to create elegant, high-end living at an affordable rate.

TNP’s website design follows the company’s brand/logo equity, with the goal of creating a modern yet elegant atmosphere for their portfolio. Conceptually, the website immerses the viewer in what would be considered British Columbia’s “true north”: vast wilderness and bio-diverse mountain regions, blending modern homes with the existing nature it surrounds.

As the company’s brand colour is a deep shade of red, this was strategically used throughout the site’s design to pair with greys and deep blue hues. Line/box details corresponded to the developer’s logo identity to create more value. Futura and Avenir were chosen typefaces as they generate an established, clean feeling. Furthermore, as this website was created with Wix, this gave the option to use motion graphics as background elements to hook the viewer into scrolling further.

Ultimately, corresponding with TNP was an honourable experience. I am grateful to have been given so much creative freedom with this project, and it was easy to communicate back and fourth with the company via email.
